The Arlington Farmers Market is a project started by Garden Treasures Organic Farm and a few enthusiastic community members from Island Crossing and other surrounding communities.. One of the main missions of Garden Treasures is to promote and revitalize the agricultural businesses here in the Stillaguamish River Valley. For this reason, we restarted the Arlington Farmers Market after a 10 year hiatus to help local farmers large and small find a market for the products they are producing. Now entering its third season we have changed allot since our first year selling out of our truck beds in the yard of old farmer Dan Grued in Arlington on highway 9. In 2007, we changed locations to the city parking lot in the heart of downtown Arlington and next to Legion Park and Centennial Trail. The location was beautiful and had a great central location with plenty of free parking. In the 2nd year we were able to attract a diverse group of crafters and farmers even though we were still a small hometown market. 2009 will be our 3rd season and with continued community support and a diverse vendor group our market can provide all the things a community can expect from their local market.
